New rjsNetworks Components

rjsNetworks has recently acquired ServerObject's "ASP Component Bundle" which includes a wide range of ASP server components to aid your application and web development. Here are the list of components and their features:

AspMail™ 4.x -

AspMail is used on more ASP installations than any other commercial or free product. This component allows you to send SMTP mail directly from a Web page 2-3 times faster than any other component.

AspQMail™ 2.x -

AspQMail works just like AspMail except that messages are queued up for delivery using the AspMail component.

AspImage™ 2.x -

AspImage allows you to create or modify images "on the fly". Features include:

* Create new or modify existing images
* Add text and images transparently
* Create gradient fills
* Draw methods such as rectangle, arc and circle
* Crop, flip, resize and rotate images
* Button, darken, lighten and other effects
* Load images from OLE variants or other AspImage objects
* Supports Response.BinaryWrite

AspSock™ 1.5 -

AspSock exposes the WinSock API through a few simple properties and methods. Allows developers to build applications that connect to any TCP port and send or receive data.

AspPOP3™ 2.5 -

AspPOP3 allows you to retrieve and delete mail from any standard POP3 server via a Web page. AspPOP3 2.x exposes message headers via properties and handles decoding file attachments.

AspNNTP™ 1.5 -

AspNNTP allows you to retrieve and send articles to NNTP (Usenet/News) servers.

AspLib™ 1.5 -

AspLib is a collection of components that provide a wide variety of functionality.

Component list:

1. AspFile™ - move, copy, delete, return a list of files and more.

2. AspConv™ - Base64 Encode/Decode, UUEncode/Decode, URL Encode/Decode strings or files.

AspHTTP™ 3.5

The AspHTTP component allows you to GET/POST/HEAD documents via the HTTP protocol; Exposes HTTP response headers; Supports transfering requests to a file (including binary transfers); Password authentication support and more. The latest version is 2-3 times faster than previous versions.

* AspHTTP uses the Winsock API and does not use the Microsoft WinInet API because of the Microsoft acknowledged problems with WinInet based server components.

AspDNS™ 2.7 -

AspDNS provides IP lookup and reverse host name lookup for known IP addresses.

AspMX™ 1.5 -

AspMX provides ASP developers with a way to do DNS queries for MX (mailhost) records. By querying the DNS for mail records an Internet developer can determine which servers for a particular domain are designated as incoming SMTP servers. AspMX returns the MX server names in ranked order, the 1st server being the designated domain's primary server and so forth.

AspPager 1.x -

AspPager allows you to send alpha-numeric pages using the standard TAP protocol from any program that can use ActiveX/OLE components.

.... and the following:

ASP Genobj, ASP Perstor, Webhammer 2.0, ASPChart, ASPCodeLock, RoboHTTP, ASPQFax, ASPLib, ASPPrint, ASPFtp.

If you are interested in developing using any of the above components. Please send an email to with your domain name and we will go ahead and install the component(s) on your server. We will also email you FULL documentation for each component as you desire.

Firefox 1.0 Debut

If you are looking for the next cross platform browser that makes light on popups and adware, take a look at FireFox. Available for many platforms including Mac, Windows, Linux, and as open source, this is Microsoft’s next threat in the browser market. In house, we use Firefox on all of our machines since it is incredibly fast and has a tabbed multiple page interface. In particular, we like the fact that is it free, does not require any licensing, and is not updated with security threats every 4 days. Firefox, the proof that open source’s proof is in the browser puddin’.
